KN-S2 House

Family House

A two-story, partially basemented family house on a steeply sloped, irregularly shaped corner site. The design concept aimed to create a building with a clean formal language that functionally separates communal and private spaces, while orienting the main rooms toward the valley panorama. The structural design is based on reusing steel structural elements and container frames owned by the Client: the living wing has a steel-frame structure, while the bedroom wing was built using two container frames. One of the project's biggest challenges was developing the facade material and color palette. The restrained, contemporary facade that emerged from several coordination rounds between the Client's preferred dark-gray exterior appearance and the expectations of the local chief architect provided a solution acceptable from both architectural and settlement-image standpoints.
